What happens to driving tests in bad weather?
What DVSA may do in unsafe conditions and how to check on the day.
Pre-launch check: Check the DVSA publication each month and record the source date when data is refreshed.
If DVSA cancels the test
Current GOV.UK guidance says DVSA will arrange the next available date and send the details. You can change that date if it is unsuitable.
Do not assume a test is cancelled from a weather forecast alone. The centre makes the operational decision for local conditions.
If the problem is your car
A cancellation caused by an unsuitable or unroadworthy car is treated differently and may require a new booking and fee. Complete the vehicle checks before test day.
