How many driving-test faults are allowed?

The number is only part of the result
A single serious or dangerous fault results in an unsuccessful test even if there are very few ordinary driving faults. Repeated driving faults can also become serious when the pattern creates potential danger.
Examiners assess what happened in context. Do not try to count faults while driving; focus on safe decisions and respond calmly if you make a mistake.
After the test
The examiner explains the result and the recorded faults. Use that feedback with your instructor or supervising driver to decide what to practise next.
